Alternate Reality

Games and Emulators:
Highest score = *****

--XL-It! Atari emulator with Alternate Reality: The City and Alternate Reality: The Dungeon
(***** - New Version of XL-It! released... much faster and graphically and audibly improved! Best way to play AR The Dungeon on a PC.)

--AppleWin Apple //e emulator with Alternate Reality: The City and Alternate Reality: The Dungeon
(**** - Wonderful user interface but unfortunate graphics, as the Apple //e only supported 8 colours. Sound improved.)

--ApplePC Apple //c emulator with Alternate Reality: The Dungeon
(*** - The graphics are blurry when in color but it's a freeware program in beta - look for a future release!)

--Native IBM PC and Compatables version of Alternate Reality: The City
(** - Lack of sound and only fair graphics make this a cheap port of AR. But simple to use if you don't want to bother with emulation.)

--Macintosh version of Alternate Reality: The City.
(Untested - Intended for Macintosh users only, however, you can probably use it with Executor if you have the right software.)

--Alternate Reality: The City, for the Amiga.
(***** - For Amiga users only. You also need a character disk, per the instructions on the intro screen. You will need a system degrader utility such as TUDE or an older machine such as an A500 or A2000 running Kickstart 1.x.)

--You may need this, Win32s, if you want to run AppleWin on windows 3.1.

ARBattle:
Here's a little something I've been working on. It's nothing like the original but it is based on the combat system. It was a joy to create. I had one more idea I was planning on working on for a while, but I never got around to it. I'll probably put the source code up here in a few days, and if anybody wants to work on getting it to be a two player TCP/IP game, you're more than welcome to.)
